EXPERIENCE

I currently work for Fox News as an Atlanta-based field producer. I travel mostly in the Southeast, covering anything from politics to breaking news.
Previously, I worked at the 10 p.m. producer at Fox 5 Atlanta. In addition to producing the hour-long show, I wrote web stories, did interviews and wrote packages when needed. I originally began my time at FOX 5 as the weekend producer, but was promoted to primetime within 4 months.

I worked for KGUN 9 News in Tucson, Arizona from 2017 to 2019. One of my most memorable moments was being in the control room on the morning of the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017. After being promoted several times, I ended my time there producing the 6 p.m. news. I also produced special projects, wrote for our digital team and worked as a field-producer for important events and stories I was passionate about. I also produced a weekly, sponsored series called Absolutely Arizona.

For the 2018 Midterm Election, I produced a digital and OTT-only newscast. It was a historic night, with Arizona voting for its first ever female Senator. I prepared live shots, a political expert panel, and interactive segments. I also created a plan for digital staff to coordinate with me to maximize viewership. We reached more than 100,000 people on Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV. This was the station's first OTT-only show.
I believe there comes a time when you make it or break it as a producer. My time came on April 28th, 2016. I produced a newscast on a deadly crash near UGA that was a known tragedy statewide. One girl was left in a coma, and three girls were killed - one of which was an old friend. On September 11th, 2001, the nation and media were a mess. And although it is incomparable, on April 28th, 2016, the UGA and Atlanta community, myself included, were a mess. But as a producer, I believe I did the girls justice and produced a newscast that honored their memory. I believe that was the moment I knew being a producer was my calling in life and that I had what it takes.
